Specific Neuromuscular - This work is often more intense than tranquil and focuses on a specific muscle group. It is a detailed massage to aid in relieving chronic tension. The therapist will not cause pain just their client’s edge and locate the source of the body discomfort. Breathing techniques are often incorporated into a deep tissue session to help clients relax and let go of tension in the mind and body.
Hot/Cold Stone Facial Massage
Hot stones cause vasodilatation to allow rapid blood flow to the area creating hyperemia (redness) then sends the signal to the brain to effect a relaxed state of being. The heat from the warm stones penetrates deeply to help loosen and sooth tightened/congested muscles.
The cold stones cause vasoconstriction to push lymph and blood out of the area and sends response to brain to gather blood from organs and tissue to cleanse as it passes to the area. The fresh blood sent is high in nutrients to promote healing to a cellular level. The cool marble stones are also used to reduce inflammation and create a balanced and rejuvenating treatment.
This treatment is not recommended for individuals with Acne Rosacea or Acne Vulgaris.Pedicures
